Three bedrooms, three baths and cool, star-vaulted living space for six — generous enough that everyone finds their own quiet corner.

Ten minutes to the White City, twenty to the Adriatic, and the whole Valle d'Itria within easy reach — trulli, vineyards, long lunches.

About

Slow days, wide views

Some houses you stay in. This one you slow down in. Villa Top of the Hill stands alone among the olive trees above Ostuni, at the end of a quiet lane where the land falls away on every side — silver groves, dry-stone walls, the white city shining in the distance and, beyond it, a thin blue line of sea.

Your mornings begin with coffee on the terrace as the valley wakes, and unwind by the infinity-edge pool that catches the light from first sun to dusk. Bougainvillea spills over warm stone, a palm throws afternoon shade, and the loggia stays cool for lunches that drift lazily into evening. There is, quite deliberately, nowhere you need to be.

Indoors, the villa wears its Puglian heritage lightly. Thick whitewashed walls and hand-built star-vaulted ceilings keep every room cool through the hottest afternoons, while the living space stays calm and uncluttered — soft light, natural stone, room to gather. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms sleep six in real comfort, the baths finished in pale microcement: old craft, quiet luxury.

When the sun drops you light the grill under an open sky and eat outside while the first stars come out over the groves. It's an unhurried, grown-up kind of holiday — and an easy one to share: children have space to roam and dogs are genuinely welcome. Most guests leave already planning the next stay.

Where you are

Ostuni & the Valle d'Itria

You're ten minutes from the heart of Ostuni — the Città Bianca — a sunlit maze of lime-washed lanes and little piazzas where restaurants spill out beneath the cathedral. Leave the car below the walls and wander up as the day cools; by night the whole town glows white above the plain. One of the loveliest places in the south, and practically your neighbour.

The Adriatic is twenty minutes down the hill — long sandy beaches and hidden coves where the water turns to glass. Inland waits the Valle d'Itria: the fairy-tale trulli of Alberobello, the wine bars of Cisternino, farm shops with burrata still warm from the morning. Markets, masserie and centuries-old olive mills, all an easy drive. This is Puglia at its most generous — and you'll be right in the middle of it.
